Our accredited tour guide will pick up you from the hotel in Cairo or Giza at 06:00 am to enjoy one of the best Egypt Desert Safari Tours to the most charming place in the Western Desert of Egypt, Siwa Oasis. You will be driven from Cairo to the Siwa Oasis via El-Alamein Road. Our first stop will be in the El Alamein area, where you will see the World War Museum and walk between the World War II cemeteries on the outskirts of Alexandria. In 1942, the Allies, led by Field Marshal Montgomery of the United Kingdom, stopped German-Italian troops on their way to the River Nile. The Allies won a huge victory with 11,000 dead and 60,000 wounded.

Through the arches and beyond the gardens, 7,000 white headstones commemorate the Australian, New Zealand, and British soldiers who fought and died at El Alamein. You will visit the battle site and spend time at the World War Museum. After finishing your El Alamein tour, you will drive to Marsa Matrouh, where you will be served a delicious seafood lunch, and then continue to the oasis of Siwa, which is about a 4-hour drive from Marsa Matrouh.

When you reach Siwa you will have dinner and stay overnight in Siwa in a beautiful eco-lodge.

Meals: Lunch

After breakfast and check-out, you will resume your Siwa Oasis tour from Cairo and you will be accompanied by your tour guide to the Mountain of the Dead "Gabal al Maouta", which is located 1 km outside Siwa and is full of ancient tombs of the rulers of Siwa Oasis during the twenty-sixth dynasty. The mountain has a limestone floor, and the tombs are carved in the shape of a beehive. Niperpathot, Si-Amon, Mesu Isis, and the Crocodile Tomb are among the notable tombs worth visiting.

You will then take a tour of the remarkable sites in and around Siwa, starting with the temple of The Oracle or the Temple of Alexander the Great. It was built on the plateau of Aghurmi (about 4 km east of Siwa city).

Its ruins now display exquisite drawings and carvings tracing the history of the temple, as well as a representation of the god Amun Ra. The temple is remarkable because Alexander the Great is said to have stayed there. Then visit the Siwa House Museum to learn about Siwan's distinct culture, followed by lunch at Abdo restaurant in the Oasis' famed square overlooking Shali.

Afterward, we will go to Cleopatra Spring, also known as "Ein Guba", a natural stone pool fed by a hot spring, where the Queen of Egypt is said to have swum during her visit to Siwa. You can now take a refreshing dip after a hot day of sightseeing and also enjoy a cup of coffee or tea or taste one of their fresh juices.

Then you will go on and start the Egypt Desert Safari adventure exploring the Great Sand Sea. Visit the hot and cold springs of Bir Wahid by Jeep 4×4 (Jeep Land Cruiser safari). Watch the beautiful desert sunset while sipping Bedouin tea. The huge sand sea of Siwa offers the best dune surfing in the world. Then you will be driven to your hotel for the night.

Overnight in Siwa.

After breakfast, you will end your Siwa trip with this last visit. You will be accompanied by our guide to Shali, the "ancient city" of Siwa, which was founded in the 13th century. It was built on a hill behind a protective wall that was originally broken by a single gate to serve as a fortress in the heart of Siwa, protecting the city from tribal incursions.

You will then arrive at the Siwa Salt Lakes, which are hidden gems. The saltwater lifts you above the surface, making you float. You don't have to be a strong swimmer to participate. Lakes offer their own set of health benefits and pleasures. Salt pools are very beneficial for sinus, skin, and eye infections.

Then our Cairo Top Tours guide will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo, which takes around 8-9 hours to drive including a break. We hope you enjoyed your Siwa Oasis tour from Cairo.

Last day of our Siwa Oasis tour package, you will have another organic breakfast in the Eco-lodge, then your personal driver and professional Egyptologist guide will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo, which takes around 8-9 hours drive including a break. We hope you enjoyed your Siwa Oasis tour from Cairo.
