The Philae Temple location, which was frequently under water for six months out of the year, was in danger due to the Nile's constant flooding. After a large and vital campaign to try to keep it from disappearing due to the heavy flooding water that took place in the middle of the 20th century, the temple was transported to the higher ground level Agilika Island, where it is presently. Take in the stunning laser displays that showcase the splendor and majesty of the ancient setting as you stroll around the great monuments of the island and listen to its history being told.
