Ramses II, a pharaoh, constructed the temple at the beginning of the 12th century BC (also known as Ramses the Great). It was devoted to the god of the underworld, Osiris. Massive statues of Ramses II and Osiris were erected in the temple, which was constructed on an unprecedented scale. It was among the most exquisite temples built at the time—Safaga port.

It is situated on the west bank of the Nile, 60 kilometers north of Luxor. Ramses II, a pharaoh, constructed the temple in the nineteenth century BC. It was devoted to the solar god Ra's wife, the goddess Hathor. There are numerous structures in the temple complex, including a temple, a chapel, a palace, and a tomb. Next, we'll move on to Abydos Temple, one of Egypt's most well-known temples.
