2 Days to Cairo and Alexandria from Sharm el Sheikh by plane

An efficient way to visit these two significant Egyptian towns is by plane, which departs from Sharm El Sheikh and travels to Cairo and Alexandria.

Cairo is Egypt's capital city, and it's full of historic landmarks and interesting museums. There's plenty to see and do in Cairo, so you'll want to allow yourself a few days to explore everything the city has to offer. If you're interested in ancient Egyptian history, the Pyramids of Giza are a must-see – they're some of the most famous monuments in the world! Giza Pyramids were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom in ancient Egypt and are considered to be one of the best things to do in Cairo.

Alexandria is another popular destination for tourists visiting Egypt. The city is located on the Mediterranean Sea, so there are plenty of beaches to relax on if that's what you're looking for. Alexandria is also home to many historical sites like Pompey's Pillar – a huge column erected in honor of Roman Emperor Diocletian – and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, one of the largest libraries in Africa with over 8 million books. King Ptolemy I founded the largest library in the world, which he used to house about 900,000 manuscripts during the course of his reign.

Though most companies will use the same sites for their packages, this is mainly because the majority of visitors are experiencing Egypt for the first time, and so these are the “must-see” sites. Egypt has literally hundreds of ancient sites which can be visited and it only takes a request for them to be explored.

What you want to see and do in Egypt will largely determine your itinerary. Many of our tour packages are intended for travelers with only a week or so to spend in Egypt; however, if you want to take your time and truly experience everything the country has to offer, we advise two weeks or longer.

If you need to, you can renew your tourist visa for a longer period of time; however, you must do so by applying at the Mogamma building in Tahrir Square or at the comparable government offices in other well-known towns like Alexandria or Luxor.

The Great Pyramid of Giza, Khan el-Khalili, and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo are the must-see locations on the route from Cairo to Alexandria (with brief stops along the way). The Great Sphinx of Giza, the Citadel of Qaitbay, and the Alexandria Library are a few more well-liked destinations.

Among the most populated nations in both Africa and Western Asia is Egypt. The vast majority of its estimated 76 million[3] inhabitants reside in a region of around 40,000 square kilometers (15,000 sq mi) along the banks of the Nile River, which is the only area with arable land. The Sahara Desert has vast stretches of poorly populated land. The bulk of Egyptians dwell in urban regions, mostly in the heavily populated districts of Alexandria, greater Cairo, and other important cities in the Nile Delta. Approximately half of Egypt's population is urban.

Yes, it is generally safe to swim in the Red Sea at Sharm El Sheikh, but it's always advisable to follow safety guidelines and heed any warnings from local authorities.
