Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Hurghada airport for your journey to Cairo. Arrive in Cairo at 7 am and your guide will be waiting outside the terminal. Visit the great pyramids of Giza, Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, to start your day tour. Then visit the Valley Temple, where the body of King Chephren was mummified by priests. See the famous Sphinx, the mythological guardian with the head of a king and the body of a lion, up close.

Next, you will head to Sakkara, which is only 16 miles southwest of Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid, which was erected for King Zoser and is an important part of the evolution of the pyramids.

The step pyramid was the first attempt to build a true pyramid during the old kingdom, but some scholars said that it was built steps from the beginning to be such a ladder to enable the soul of the king to ascend to the sky and transformed into an eternal star.

Next, move on to the city of Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, home to the imposing statue of Ramses II and the huge alabaster sphinx. This city was founded in 3100 BC. Afterward, stop for lunch at a local restaurant, which includes a full meal for each person but no drinks. The first day ends with the transfer to your hotel in Cairo for check-in and overnight.

 

At 8 am, check out from the hotel and collect your bags, which will be stored in the car. Start your day by visiting the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, which houses the world's largest collection of priceless Egyptian art. Admire the unique collection of over 250,000 authentic artifacts dating back over 5,000 years.

Continue to the Citadel, where you will see the alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha before heading to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. The many shops in this area are famous for selling beautiful brass, copper, perfume, leather, silver, gold, and a variety of other items. Afterward, you will have lunch in a nearby restaurant (drinks not included). Transfer to Cairo airport for your flight back to Hurghada at the end of the second day.
