 At the beginning of the day with Cairo Day Tours, our tour leader will meet you at your hotel in Cairo or Giza. Your Walking Tour in Cairo will commence with a visit to the ancient gates of Cairo, such as Bab Zwayla, which is the main gate of medieval Cairo. Outside the gate, you can be amazed by seeing the Al-Saleh Talai'e Mosque and climbing its stairs for a breathtaking view of the minarets of Cairo. Adjacent to Bab Zwayla is the Sultan Al-Mo'ayyad Mosque, which dates back to the 10th century. During your stroll, you can explore the fabric market on Ghouri Street where you can purchase 100% cotton clothes and fruits.  

We'll lead you to the Sultan Al Ghouri Complex, which is situated near the Al-Azhar mosque. Just across the street, you'll find the Al Mu'ezz Complex which displays stunning medieval Islamic architecture dating back to the 13th to 15th centuries. Aside from the Qalawoun complex from the Mamluk era, you can also visit an old Islamic house called El Sehemy House (Bayt Al Suhaymi) that used to house up to 200 students from Al Azhar School, while passing by copper, silver, and gold shops. To continue our Islamic Cairo Walking Tour, we'll leave Khan El Khalili bazaar and head to Bab El Fateh, an ancient gate of old Cairo, where you can take some photos and appreciate the breathtaking view from the Bishtack Palace and Suhaimy residence. Lastly, you can relax at the el Feshawy Café.
