After lunch, you will proceed with your day tour to explore several other historical and less popular mosques that are affiliated with the El Sayeda Zeinab Mosque in Cairo. This mosque was built in memory of the granddaughter of Prophet Mohamed, may prayers and peace be upon him, and it is located in the central area of Al Sayeda Zeinab square.

Al Sayeda Zeinab Mosque:

Al Sayeda Zeinab is the youngest daughter of Al Sayeda Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet, and his cousin Ali Ibn Abi Taleb. Additionally, she is the sister of the two Imams, Al Hassan and Al Hussein.

Shortly after her arrival in Egypt, her mosque was established upon the sighting of the new crescent moon of Shaaban in the year 61 A.H. This occurred in the small village of Al Abassah in the eastern Delta region, where the Umayyad wali of Egypt, Maslama Ibn Makhlid Al Ansary, was present to greet her.

Afterwards, she made her home at Al Fustat city, which was the first Islamic Capital of Egypt before Islamic Cairo. While there, she stayed with Maslama. To continue your Cairo Day Tours, you can visit the mosque of Sayyida Nafisa which is situated 150 meters southward of El-Sayyida Nafisa Square. This mosque was constructed by Abbas Helmy II during the Dynasty of Mohammed Ali Pasha.

El-Sayyida Nafisa Mosque:

Afterwards, you should visit El-Sayyida Nafisa Mosque, which is a member of Prophet Mohammed's family and has a great reputation in Egypt. Finally, conclude your day tour by visiting Amr Ibn al's Mosque, which is the oldest mosque in Africa and the first ever built in Egypt.

The mosque, also called Taj al-Jawamie, was constructed in 642 AD (21 AH) by Amr Ibn al As, who led the Muslim army that took over Egypt. After that, we visited the Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque located on Mount Yashkur in a settlement called al-Qata'i. Ahmad ibn Tulun, the founder of Egypt's Tulunid Dynasty (868-905 AD), completed the mosque in 879 AD.

Al-Qata'i, who was born in Baghdad as the son of a Turkish slave of Mongol origin owned by the Caliph al-Mamun, lived approximately two kilometers away from the old community of Fustat. After his stepfather passed away in 870, he was granted the position of governor of Egypt and eventually rose to hold that title.

The mud-brick mosque that he built over a span of three years became the central point of the Tulunid capital, which had a short lifespan of only 26 years.

After completing your Egypt Day Tours at approximately 6:00 pm, your tour guide will accompany you back to your hotel. We sincerely hope that you had a wonderful experience during our unique excursion to the Mosques of Al Albayt.

The best times for a daily tour in Cairo can vary depending on the season and the specific attractions you plan to visit. Here are some general guidelines to help you plan your daily tour:

   Morning Tours (8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.):
Morning tours are a good choice for visiting historical and cultural sites in Cairo, such as the Egyptian Museum, the Giza Pyramids, and the Sphinx. It's generally cooler in the morning, making it more comfortable for exploring outdoor attractions.

   Afternoon Tours (1:00 PM–4:00 PM):
Afternoon tours can be a good option if you prefer to start your day later. However, keep in mind that the midday sun in Cairo can be intense and hot, so it's advisable to take precautions against the sun and stay hydrated.
You can use the afternoon to visit indoor attractions like museums and art galleries to escape the heat.

Evening Tours (5:00 PM–8:00 PM and Beyond):
Evening tours are ideal for experiencing Cairo's vibrant nightlife, including dining at local restaurants and enjoying cultural performances.
Some attractions, such as the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids, are best experienced in the evening when they are illuminated.

   Friday morning (weekend):
Friday is the Muslim holy day, and many businesses and government offices are closed. It's an excellent time to explore cultural and historical sites, as they are typically less crowded on Friday mornings.

   Ramadan Considerations:
During the holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, the pace of life in Cairo can be different. Some attractions may have altered opening hours, and it's respectful to avoid eating or drinking in public during daylight hours.

   Seasonal Considerations:
Cairo experiences hot summers, so if you're visiting during the summer months (June to August), it's essential to plan outdoor activities for the cooler morning hours.
The shoulder seasons of spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) offer pleasant weather for tours throughout the day.
